Minimum Work Requirements:
We hire new and experienced professionals at Black Bella Spa & Wellness. Working at Black Bella Spa is a MINDSET. Our staff are prepared, knowledgeable, and ready to learn.
Working at Black Bella Spa is a career experience, not a job. The pay commiserates with the working standards.
Most importantly, our team performs with excellence based on the Black Bella Standard that is taught in our training methods. Please read our minimum work requirements BEFORE you apply.

The Basics:
Must be able to work in a tobacco and marijuana free workplace. Must not use drugs or tobacco of any kind. This includes vaping, snuff, smoking or any type of use. (includes prescriptions)
Must be licensed & insured in the state of Maryland for Massage & Esthetician roles (licensed Cosmotoligist accepted).
Must have a clean criminal record. A background check is required.
Professionalism:
Must be able to able to work under authority (adhering to instruction).
Must be able & willing to perform Black Bella standard protocols (provided during training).
Must have positive, professional, upbeat, kind, and "can do" attitude.
Appearence & Hygiene:
All head wraps or head dress (for religious or other reasons) must be neat and on brand (pink or black).
Work uniform must be odor and stain free. Must have an fragrance free (no smell) hair and body. This includes lotions and hair products.
Hair must be neatly groomed and tied back while working in the spa (pulled away from face while in the spa).
Fingernails must be clean, short and neat.
Men-beards must be clean and well groomed of minimal length.
Job Performance & Aptitude:
Must have a quiet & professional demeanor while working.
Must maintain professional boundaries, discretion & confidentiality while working with clients (per our training).
Must be willing to sell packages, memberships, products & services to our clients (per our training).
Must be willing to maintain spa level and Maryland state (SOAP) required notes for all clients.
Conduct & Attitude:
Must have positive, professional, upbeat, kind, empathetic, and "can do" attitude.
Must be willing to keep personal conversation with clients or team members to a minimum.
Must have a pleasing, confident, & service driven countence.
Must respect the Black Bella Spa Zero tolerance for disrespect, & discrimination of others (vendors, clients, team members).
